Today we’re talking about the many different ways to wear denim.
Denim is so versatile! You can pretty much wear it anytime, anywhere (except a formal event, which I’m sure some way, somehow someone has managed to pull it off), but I digress. Its versatility is why I love wearing denim so much. The proof is on my Instagram.
So, let’s now dive into the different ways to wear denim.

1- The first, and one of my favorites is a classic denim look.
Grab your favorite pair of blue denim pants, pair it with a white long sleeve shirt, and that’s it! You are good to go. I love this look so much because it’s effortless, yet very beautiful.
You can wear this look for different occasions, such as a lunch meeting, a lunch date with your significant other, or even turn it into a nighttime look by adding a cute pair of heels and a purse as shown below.

2- Spice up your outfit with a denim jacket!
You can quickly spice up a boring outfit by throwing a denim jacket over it. Doing so can literally change the feel and look of your entire outfit. That is why I keep a denim jacket in my car at all times.
I’ve owned a few different styles of denim jackets over the years, but the one style I keep coming back to is a classic blue denim jacket as shown below.
I wear this jacket with pretty much everything. Here I was inspired to pair it with an all-black ensemble and my slip-on converse. I also thought this fedora hat was perfect to complete the look.

3- Denim dresses are another stylish way to wear denim.
You can wear a denim dress for almost any occasion.
When I saw this dress, I couldn’t help myself. I just had to take it home with me! It may be a denim dress, but this whole look is what I would wear for a fun date night.
I again paired it with my favorite color, pink. But as I mentioned earlier, you can play with whatever color floats your boat.

4- Let’s not forget About Black denim.
Black denim is one I don’t wear often, but love the look of it.
In this instance, I opted for all black with a pop of color (pink of course). My vision was a very simple yet elegant look that I could wear almost anywhere. This look is great for drinks with the girls, date night with hubby, or even meeting up with a few friends after work.

5- The ultimate way I love to wear denim is and forever will be denim on denim.
Grab a denim shirt and denim pants and throw them together. That’s the whole look!
This look can be worn for both daytime and nighttime.
For a daytime look, pair your all-denim outfit with your favorite pair of sneakers. I’ve been obsessed with Converse sneakers lately. So for this look, I got myself a pair of ripped cropped jeans, a similar shade denim shirt and I paired it with my classic white slip-on Converse. Then I was on my way!
For my nighttime look, I changed into a more formal pair of denim pants and I added a pair of glass-bottom shoes in my favorite color pink, and the same color purse to add a pop of color. Assuming pink is not your color, you can create this look with any other color that makes you happy.

You already know I LOVE the denim dress! How important is it to match the denims when pairing a denim jacket or shirt with denim pants, dress or skirt?
Excellent question Raquel! I personally don’t think it’s important to match your denim when pairing it with more denim. I think it’s whatever you feel comfortable with. Sometimes I try to get an exact match as shown here. Other times I pair a lighter one on top with a darker one at the bottom (which is how I dressed hubby yesterday for casual Friday at work).
