Don’t leave to tomorrow the things you can do today.

After the year that was 2020, one thing became clear, time isn’t on our side. It is now or never to do the things we want to do. With that realization, I bought a couple of tickets (for my father and me), and off to Arizona, I was to go visit the Grand Canyon.

It was such an amazing and uplifting trip I couldn’t keep it to myself.

So today, I am sharing with you 5 reasons to add the Grand Canyon to your future travel plans.

5 reasons you should visit the Grand canyon

1- The Grand Canyon is one of the most beautiful places you’ll visit.

The Grand Canyon is a timeless beauty mostly made of rocks that can change colors depending on the lighting and the time of the year. I’m sure you’ve seen the beautiful pictures and possibly videos, but I guarantee you that none of these really do it justice.

You have to be there to really take in all the beauty that is in the Grand Canyon. Everyone should experience it with their own eyes at least once in their life.

2- Being at the Grand Canyon is the ultimate way to disconnect.

If you’re looking to get away from the craziness that is the world, there is no better place to turn to but nature. And being at the Grand Canyon is just that. It is nothing but pure, raw, unmodified nature all around to help you get away and disconnect from the world.

Not only did it allow me to get away physically, but it also allowed me to get away mentally. 2020 was rough for me as I’m sure it was for you. So any chance I can get to get away now, I take it.

3- The Grand Canyon also allows you to reconnect.

Being in such a beautiful place makes it easy to reconnect with yourself, and your loved ones.

The fact that I was so close to nature gave me the opportunity to share moments with my father that probably wouldn’t be possible anywhere else. Moments that I’ll carry with me forever. We laughed, cried (I probably did all the crying), prayed. Best of all, we reconnected. I don’t get to see my father often, so moments like these are very special.

I was able to clear my mind and forget about all the reasons why I think my life is so terrible for a few days. These moments allowed me to get back home with a more positive outlook on life.

4- Excercise

The Grand Canyon stretches over hundreds of miles of pure nature and is over 6000 feet in elevation. With multiple trails all over the Canyon, it offers endless opportunities to exercise. You can do things such as walking, hiking, horseback riding. Or you may choose to go rafting, or even go for a swim. Either way, the possibilities are endless.

5-The perfect excuse to go somewhere new.

If nothing you read here resonated with you so far, this one will! The day you visit the Grand Canyon, you can cross one extra destination off your bucket list. You get to break the monotony that is your life and experience somewhere new. Meet new people, experience new things, and create new memories. What can be better than that!?!

I’ll wait…

My visit to the Grand Canyon turned out to be a trip of a lifetime.

I know I probably say that about all my trips, but this trip was really special in a different way.

The fact that I was able to visit such a beautiful place that allowed me to disconnect for a few days, but also share some beautiful moments with my father, the man who spent his life sacrificing everything for his children was priceless.

I highly recommend adding A trip to the Grand Canyon to your bucket list. If you don’t go for anything else, at least go to experience the beauty that is this place. You won’t regret it!
