Finding products for my 4c low porosity hair has been no walk in the park.
I have been on my natural hair journey for years now and have encountered a multitude of products marketed towards type 4 hair. One thing I’ve realized though is that not all type 4 hair is created equal.
I picked out some new products from Shark Tank’s famous natural hair care brand Kreyòl Essence, in my never-ending quest to finding products compatible with my 4C low porosity hair. I have been wanting to try these products since 2020 so I was pretty excited to finally give them a try.
What you should know about Kreyòl Essence
The main ingredient in Kreyòl Essence hair products is Haitian Black Castor Oil. The products are produced in Haiti providing jobs for over 350 Haitian farmers (source). The company is mostly women-run.
They recently added a few new products to their already extensive collection, all dedicated to styling. Those styling products are what pushed me to try the brand out and I am here to share my experience.
