Air drying can be a hassle and may take a day or two, sometimes more depending on how much hair you have. A hooded dryer substantially cuts down the drying process and keeps you from having to navigate life with wet hair especially if you love wearing wash and gos.
You can opt for a tabletop hooded dryer that you can carry around and may be easier to store. Or you may get a standing hairdryer, which may be more convenient to use. The third option is a handheld dryer. I like the Infinitipro 3-in-1 styler because of its versatility.

A hair steamer is a great way to encourage products to penetrate the hair strands and aid with moisture retention. It will benefit any natural with low porosity hair because of the heat’s ability to open up the hair cuticles and allow the products to easily penetrate the hair strands a lot easier and quicker, thus aiding with moisture retention. It is a great buy, but also a great gift.
A scalp massager is a perfect tool for wash day. The massager helps get rid of product build-up by lifting dirt from the scalp all the while giving your head a well-deserved massage. I must confess, I don’t use them enough, but I plan on fixing that soon.
Let’s not forget about our newly natural friends. This curl sponge is a great tool to help define the curls for anyone with short hair.
Hard water is bad for natural hair, and unfortunately, a lot of states have hard water. One way to remedy this situation is to use filtered water. replacing your current shower head with this filtered one is the easiest to ensure the water you are using to wash your hair is not damaging it.
